"For this picture the alarm clock rang at 2:30 am. I had to leave the "Nasser Grund" car park at 3:00 a.m. so that I could be on top of the rock shortly after 4:00 a.m. In the summer, twilight sets in very early, and I didn't want to miss it. I opted for the easier ascent through the Wilde Hölle, and so it was punctually at 3 a.m. through the dark forest uphill slowly but steadily. Bright eyes, reflecting the light from the headlamp, followed me again and again in the forest. First a fox, then something bigger, probably a deer. But all in all it was almost eerily quiet in the forest, only here and there a short rustling next to the path. Luckily no wild boar crossed my path like the night before... Arrived in the Wild Hell, things got a bit more sporty for a short time, in a climbing section, some rocks had to be overcome using ladders and metal brackets. Then it went up a steeper path to the upper Affenstein Promenade. After about another 20 minutes I stood on the rock with the pine tree, just after 4 o'clock sharp. However, the sky only became really colorful around sunrise, the clouds became more and more red until the sun came over the hill at about 5 o'clock. Wafts of fog drifted up from the valley over the forest and gave the scene a nice dynamic. "
