Tell us a little about your background, who is Sofia?

I work full time as an artist. I run the company Artbyleolarsson with my partner. I paint anything; everything from large, abstract paintings to cool and strong women to colourful portraits.

How did you find creativity?

I've probably always loved creative design without realizing it. I have been painting since I was a child and I liked to sit by when my uncle, who is also an artist, was painting. I constantly redecorated my room and was often in my grandfather's carpentry shop. I love spending time with creative people. However, since handball was the bigger driving force for me when I was young, I only started painting seriously again about 6 years ago when I met my current partner, who is also an artist.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I find my inspiration in nature, random images that captivate me, my own photos, and in different settings or houses where I feel like "those colours/subjects would fit here".

What do you think wall art can bring into a home? Wall art is a fantastic way to add character to a home and create a unique atmosphere. Whether colourful or cooler motifs, it definitely makes a home more homely and inviting and is an eye-catcher for the viewer.

What do you have on your walls at home?

We don't have enough walls at home (laughs) but at the moment we mostly have our own art on the walls. There is a mixture of original and art prints, abstract and different motifs. It feels great and at the same time our home becomes a lively showroom for our customers.
